    Two magpies, a black cat, a horseshoe hanging over the door, all of these will bring you luck. If you put on your stocking inside out it is lucky.
    People usually get married on a Monday or a Wednesday. This is a rhyme for people getting married
    "Monday for health
    Tuesday for wealth
    Wednesday best day of all
    Thursday for loses
    Friday for Crosses
    Saturday no day at all"
    It is lucky for a black cat to stray into a house. It is lucky to find a horseshoe on the road. It is lucky to move into a new house on a Friday. It is lucky to start ploughing on a Monday.
