    Games I Play
The games which the boys in this locality play are football, hurling, handball, tug-o-war, hide go seek, boxing, wrestling and hand tig.
    Football
It is not necessary to describe Gaelic Football because everyone knows how to play it.
    Hurling
Hurling is an old Gaelic game, and it is played with a stick called a hurley and a small heavy ball.
    Handball
Handball is played with a ball up against a wall.
    Tug-o-war
Boys play tug-o-war like this. They get a rope and a number of boys get at each end of the rope, then they begin to pull and whatever side pulls the furthest wins.
    Hide go seek
Three or four people go to hide and one waits until they are in, then he tries to get them, and if they are caught before they will have to seek the next time.
    Boxing and hand tig
Everyone can play boxing and hand tig and there is no need to describe them.
