Co. Meath.Once upon a time there was a girl named Mary Smyth who lived in the Townland of Cross, Co. Cavan. One day she went to the river to bathe. As she was bathing a fairy man came up out of the water riding a beautiful white horse. He told her to get up behind on the horse. She got afraid and would not get up.
