- There are many travelling people in this district. There is a band of gypsies at the end of our lane. They stay there for about three days and then they continue their journey. They have three big caravans and about six horses. they have two horses for each caravan. They sell carpets and they get hay for the horses in return. They come each year in the summer.
There is a man who sells buckets and he makes them himself. He does not stay in the house in which he sells the things. There is a man from Trim, Co. Meath who sells delph. He has a pony and a cart. He makes the bowls from yellow clay.
The travelling people do not stay with us. There is a woman of the name of Bell who sells carpets and bed clothes. She comes around on a Tuesday(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile) - Bailitheoir
