  1. St. Patrick's Day
    On this feast-day shamrock is worn by everybody, both big and small. Men wear it on their hats and women wear it in their coats. Children wear little green harps, with golden threads through them.
    Shrove Tuesday
    Pancakes are made in each house on this day. A ring is put in one of the pancakes, and whoever gets it, is supposed to be married before the end of the year.
    Ash Wednesday
    All Catholics go to Mass and get blessed ashes on their foreheads, on this day.
    Good Friday
    On this day, the Stations of the Cross are made, between three and twelve o'clock, because it was during these hours that Our Lord
