  1. One of the Butler family wanted to get this mound removed.
    This day he ordered his men to dig it up and take it away.
    On looking out the window he saw his men standing round and the mount still intact.
    He went out in a temper and demanded why they did not obey his orders, and of course they replied that they didnt consider it lucky to touch it.
    Well said he Ill start it. He took a spade and plunged it into the mound.
    He suddenly stopped threw down the spade and walked away. The mound was never touched from that day to this.
