  1. Twice a year Spring and Autumn mass or a station is held in the more respectable of the farmer's houses.
This is also a survival of the Penal days.
At that time priests had not such facilties for travelling as they have now.
In the more outlying parts of this parish the priest arranges a station in some one house. The owner of that house considered himself highly honoured.
He whitewashed, scrubbed and cleaned the house and precints.
All the neighbours attended the station. They confessed and received Holy Communion and were all kept by the generous host for breakfast.
After breakfast the priest attended in their own houses all who were unable to come to the station.
At present when a station is held in a private house only the family attend and sometimes a privileged neighbour.
Tras-scríofa ag duine dár meitheal tras-scríbhneoirí deonacha.
