    And Dublin to a man,
    While Reilly on the Hill of Skryne,
    He drew his sword both sharp and keen,
    And swore by all he err had seen,
    He would revenge the fall.
    The above lines were composed after the Battle of Tara, when the Irishmen failed to hold their ground. Long ago at the fair of Skryne the people used to sing that song. There were more verses of it but they are forgotten.
