  1. This is a story told to us by the teacher and it is absolutely true in every detail.
    About 70 years ago her mother was living at Castle Park, Slane.
    One night her next door neighbour became very ill and the priest was sent for.
    The parish priest of Slane came and attended the sick man.
    He left the house and was proceeding on his way home walking when a son of the old man he attended came running up behind him and in a frightened way he begged of the priest to return as his father was "carrying on in an awful way".
    He returned with the boy and when he re-entered the sick room he saw several neighboring women including Mrs Sheridan who told the story. But what else did he see?
