One night about 25 or 30 ears ago my grandmother and aunt were sitting...

    (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)
mysterious woman was still silent, and walked out as quickly as she came in.
It was very strange that no one else in the place had seen her, and it was never found out who she was.

The "Windmill Road" along which I come to school is really only a by road...

The "Windmill Road" along which I come to school is really only a by-road now and narrow and unsuitable for traffic but in the days of our great-grandparants it was the main road between Slane and this locality - the new road which is now made use of for motor and other traffic was made during Famine years to give employment to people.
We have an old ordnance map in the school and this road which we are so familiar with is not marked on it cor ar bith.
The bridge called "Stackallen Bridge" was also built at this time and bears the date 1847.
