Outside Ardmulchan grave-yard there is supposed to be church treasure and gold buried.

The exact spot is not known but tradition says that the setting sun throwing a shadow marks the spot.
I heard my grandfather say that some men went to dig where they thought was the right spot.
When they had dug down they discovered the remains of a bishop and some splendid candle-sticks.
At that moment a bright light crossed the Boyne from the direction of Dunmoe.
They took this as a warning, not to touch it so they closed it up.
Going down from Yellow Furze there is an old head-stone to be seen built into the wall on the right hand side of the road opposite the gates of Dollardstown, and it is said to bear an inscription dating back to the mail-coach days many years ago.
Another interesting old win or burial place is out in the lawn opposite Staffardstown house.
There is a round shaped grave slated with stone some feet deep and human bones were found there.
