In the Parish of Roho, in the townland of Aughahooran, there is a large hole in the ground called pull-More.
Where this hole is now there was once a famous castle owned by a chief called O'Phelan who kept a great pack of hounds for hunting animals.
St. Faber the patron Saint of Boho always kept a pet deer which used to carry her books.
One day when she was passing the castle and the deer with her the hounds attacked the deer.
The deer ran for miles until he came to the river Silleece in the townland of Ross.
When it came to this river he jumped across it and in doing this lost all St. Faber's books.
The Saint was angry at this and it is said that she cursed the castle, causing it to sink in the ground, leaving nothing but this large hole.
She also cursed the river and since then it flows against the hill which seems very curious.
She said too that it would be better for drowning than for fishing in.
