A Priest who was on the run stopped in this house, they say he was a Meath Priest. There is a tunnel running from the back kitchen out to the Orchard. When the Soldiers would be coming one of the people of the house always tell the priest because the people of the house always were watching the soldiers. The priest would lift the stones in the back kitchen and would get into the orchard. The priest would go into the Wind Mill and sometimes stay in the orchard. The priest never was caught. The soldiers suspected that the priest was there.(gan teideal)
