- If a person came in while another person was churning the person entering would say "God bless all work here" and the other person would say "and you likewise." Then they would help the other person with the churning.
If there was no cream on the milk the people would say that it was the fairier that stole it.
Then if they were going out to the market to sell butter if they met a red haired woman on the road they would say say that they would have bad luck all that day and some of them would not go out to the town or market at all.
