- When St. Patrick came to Ireland he was journeying up the River Boyne and on his way he met men fishing. He asked them for one but they refused to give it to him.
It is said that St Patrick cursed the Boyne and from that day to this every year at least three people are drowned in the Boyne.
- Long ago about a mile from Drogheda there stood an old house. The owner lived in Dublin and he paid an aged woman to live in the house and look after it for him. Every evening the neighbours around used sit around the fire and tell stories. I forgot to mention that this house was haunted.
