- In the west end of Drogheda is a street called Mell, but the old people call it loch Buidhe. Long ago on the south side of the street there was a large yellow lake from which this street recieved its name. One side of this street there is a lane in which there is a well of beautiful spring water. It was at this well St. Boice drank before he was beheaded and this well is called Tobar Boice to the present day. The people of Mell were hand loom weavers and often they carried the cloth on their backs from Mell to the Linen-Hall in Dominick(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
