Ar an leathanach seo
- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)spring runs down the side of the Laurel hill. This place is in the Townland of Collon and barony of Ferrard.
- There is an old story told about a man near Collon who ploughed a mound on his land.
This farmer went out to plough a field of his which had a mound in it which had never been ploughed before.
The man thought it a shame for the land to go to waste and began to plough it. So he ploughed it, and then he cut some blackthorn bushes which were in the field and when he was bringing them home one of his horses put his foot in a hole and had to be killed.
The same evening something else happened to this other horse and had to be killed also.
So the people said his horses were(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
