  1. Hallow E'en Customs
There are many Hallow E@en customs of long ago still practised in this locality by superstitious people.
When dinner is finished the spoons are stuck in the colcannon which remains so that if the spirits come they can eat of it.
At twelve o'clock get up and comb your hair and eat an apple while looking in a mirror. Your future husband will appear in the mirror.
People when they take off their shoes put the toe of the right one into the heel of the left in the form a "t" and place them under their pillows and say these words:-
I now place my shoes in the form of a "t"
That this night I my true love may see
    The colour of his hair
And the clothes that he'll wear
On the day he'll be wed to me.
When they say these words they must not speak again that night and they will dream of the of their future husbands; if they do not dream they will never be married.
Put some salt under your pillow before you go to bed so that you will dream of your future husband.
