    Nicholas Dunne a very big man commonly called big Nick was born in Belpatrick. He lifted very big weights. Once when in a blacksmiths forge he lifted the anvil and brought it out on the road he challenged twelve men to go out in their twin and take it in but none of the men could do it.
    Another time when going through Drogheda, the wheel broke off his cart and it filled with bags of oats, he took it on one wheel to the boat where he was going.
