    Situated about six miles from the important town of Dundalk, two miles from the small town of CastleBellingham and a mile from the tranquil Irish Sea is my native village, Dromiskin. It's picturesque situation is not its only feature, it is also important in the eyes of the historians.
    Some of the very prominent historic buildings are the Round Tower, and the ruins of an old Monastery, which shows us that the people of the parish even in those early times, were showing great devotion to the true Faith. The Round Tower is one of the two in the county, therefore it should not be neglected. In the village there is also the wall of what seemed to be a large house (which, by the way, is now the garden wall of Dromiskin House) which is supposed to have
