2. Local Rhymes

   

   Roinn Roinn Postáil

   In the year 192(-) a prominent Dromiskin famer, an ardent supporter of the late Mr Redmond's Irish Party and subsequently of Mr Devlin's dwindling group, composed the following rhymes, selected the representative characters from his servants and members of his family, and launched a Mummer band but for one night only. They visited some thirty houses in the district and although the views and sentiments of the revellers were directly in conflict with those of most of the people visited they were well received, the organiser being regarded by all as a "gay fellow" and a "leg-puller". Popularly known as "Bill" Morgan(?), he is the local Peace Commissioner and has been elected as Co Councills for this area at three successive elections. He himself took the role of the King of England:-
