  1. We have a churn at home. It is a box churn. It i s called a meadar. It is three feet in height two and a half feet in depth and two feet in width. It was made twelve years ago. It is made of white cedar. The things used in the churn are :- The frame the stopper and the handle.
    There is a mark cut with a knife to fit the cover on. Butter is made once a week in Winter and twice a week in Summer. The men and women make the churn. If a stranger comes into a house while the churn is making the woman of the house who is over the churn gets that person to make a dreas and she would tell the to put the size of their head in it and if they did not do that she would think that the butter would never be made.
    Some people put a burned coal so that it would make quick. A churn takes from fifteen to thirty minutes to make. Some churns takes three quarters of an hour to make. The churn is made by the hand. When the churn
