    cried -"Macks tat is the best dancer here tonight"The boys departed quickly in a state of fright and some nights afterwards they were gathered (in cuaird)at Macks (or Mac Namaras) house.They were telling the story of their experience at the old cabin and they mentioned the reference which they heard made to Mack's cat,the cat which was kept in the house suddenly jumped from its seat near the fire and escaped through the door and was never seen since.
    3.In old times there lived in Clonagene U a Minister and his wife. Their house was situated near a quarry and in a farm occupied by Fitzgerald .The Minister was supposed to be an apostate priest,as he was regarded with much disliked and disgust by the Catholics of the surrounding districts.Several methods had been tried to compel him to leave the locality but without success .At last four men were selected to evict him forcibly ,and to knock the house.On a certain night they came to his residence and after compelling the Minister and his wife to come outside ,they set to destroy the roof.
    The evicted woman said to her husband -"You have been a priest can you do anything now to save us?"The Minister replied-"Once a priest ,a priest for ever,so time will tell ".The evicted party then disappeared.
