One time two sisters made a visit to their aunt who was sick. On the first night the servant directed them to the best furnished room in the house, but unfortunately this room was haunted. At twelve oclock they were awakened by terrible cries and moaning and thinking it was their aunt they got up, but when they reached her room she was sleeping quietly. When passing the hall door there was suddenly a loud knock but they did not open it but ran to bed as quickly as they could. Some hours afterwards they saw an old red, haired woman at the window who spoke a few words and went away. When the servant heard this story she said it must be the banshee because she had seen her herself. They came to conclusion then that something was going to happen and it was true for them because the aunt died the following night.
