The Causeway was a private walk of the O'Briens between their castle and the Abbey where they used to go to Mass. There was a stream (sepata) separting the Castle from the Abbey and they had big stones across and when going out used step from stone to stone.

There is an old road which branches off the Watery Road and joins the main road near Daly's at Liffort. It has no name.
