Churn.
We have a churn at home.It is about three feet high.it is about a foot and a half at the bottom and a foot at the top.We have it about twenty years. We call the cover and handle lifting up and down the stock. The cup runs down along the handle to stop the cream spattering .it is made of timber.
The churn is made twice a week in Summer and once a week in Winter. No one in particular makes it.If a stranger came in he would take a dras at it to see if it as easily made as his own or he'd bring all the luck away with him.Holywater is spilled into the churn for luck.Salt used be blessed before salting
