- Tobar - Imí (St. Imy's Well) is situated in the same farm as her grave (described in previous page) and about one hundred yards due north of same and in this townland of Burrane. Until quite recently "Rounds" were performed at this well but no particular day was set aside for performing these "Rounds". Some years ago the previous owner of the land (in order to prevent trespass it is to be assumed) closed this blessed well and all acts of devotion performed there have since ceased. He was apparently more devoted to his land than to his religion. It is said that heavy losses in stock, crops and many afflictions followed the closing of the blessed well and the owner was advised by his neighbours to open it again - an advice which he wisely followed. His bad luck then disappeared but as the old devotional exercises were not resumed (owing to his act) it is said that his bad luck again returned. He and his family were completely wiped out and there is not a single member of them in the locality now. This occurred within the last 40 years. I knew the farmer myself and his wife and family. The well is at present in a very much neglected condition and the people have long since ceased to pay the attention to it that is undoubtedly deserves.
