   Roinn Roinn Postáil

   There is one forge in each district. Dundrum Forge is situated near a cross, on a main road. It is a wooden structure One smith works in it. He does a fairly good trade. All the farmers come to him, too get their horses and ponies shod.
   Outside there are always a number of broken ploughs, pulpers, mowing machines, and other farm implements. The smith is a strong man. His complexion is always dark.
   Inside the forge is a big coal fire. It is built on a stone heap in the middle of the floor. He blows the fire with a big bellows. The rafters are black with the smoke. He makes his own tools Forge water is supposed to cure warts. Smiths are not considered wealthy men. His father is a blacksmith, and so is his brother. He learnt his trade from his father. His name is Patrick Dineen. Sometimes he gives farmers a hand
