- “ A man of words and not of deeds is like a garden full of weeds.” Bad men are often compared to weeds because weeds destroy a garden, and bad men destroy the world.
These are the most plentiful weeds in the local farms : - scutch grass, thistles, dock and nettles.
Dock and nettles grow on good soil, the dandelion, wild daisies, buttercups, groundsel, belladonna, wild thyme fox-glove and chicken weed grow on soft sandy soil.
The belladonna plant is used for burning off warts.
The dandelion has medical properties also.When boiled in milk it is good(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
