Ar an leathanach seo

  1. About two miles east of Tipperary town on the soutn of the rail-way, there is a holy well.
    Many people go there when in trouble through sickness, do the rounds, and say prayers, and every person that does the rounds always leaves some little token (afer) after them.
    If you were to visit the well you would see- ribbons of every colour tied on the bush over the well, on the stones, blades, broken glass and china etc, etc.
    Many years ago, long before the railway was laid Tom and Mary, lived a few miles from Sunday's Well.
    Tom, a fine strapping young man. Mary a comely maid in with nut brown hair. They had a small bit of ground, and Mary fed the pigs and fowls, milked the cows, and was as happy as the day was long. In the summer times, Tome went out odd days (having) saving hay, cutting corn for hire which helped to tide them over the winter.
    One beautiful July morning Mary was out of bed by six o'clock, busy in the kitchen preparing Toms breakfast as he had a hard day before him. Ready to start, Mary walked to the paddock- gate with him, to let in the cows. Wishing him good luck, he went away whistling, little thinking trouble was so
