- Pitching Pins was a favourite game long ago. Eachplayer had a collection of pins on a pin cushin. A ring was made on the ground and about 3 yds from that a line and another 3 yds further off another line. Eachplayer in turn stood at the farthest off line and tried to pitch a pin into the ring. Whosoever got his pin into the ring or nearest the line could then take all the other pins. Then he stood at the nearest line and tried to get pins into the ring.
