    There is a crock of gold supposed to be buried in a hill not far from this school. The old people say it is buried there three hundred years.
    Five men once went to look for it.
    They began to dig, when they had the first sod dug, one of them looked back and saw their home on fire. They ran to the place as fast as their legs would carry them and when they reached home there was no fire.
    The fairies made them imagine that he house was on fire so that they would not get the gold. The five men never went near the place again and it said that they never had their health right after.
