    There was once a farmer's wife who was losing all her fowl. The neighbours told her that they saw a fox around, so her husband said he would watch and keep the gun close by.
    About 11 o'clock one night he saw the fox coming out of the fowlhouse with a hen in his mouth. The farmer shot him in the leg but he jumped off too quickly for the farmer to catch him.
    The news spread and it was found out that it was a neighbouring woman who was in the power of the devil and could change herself into any form. The doctor was sent for and he took the shot grains out of her leg.
