One night two men were drinking in a public house. When they were drunk one of them bet with the other that he would not go to the Chapel near by and drive a nail in the coffin that was there. The man said he would.
He went to the Chapel, when he had the nail driven in the coffin, he moved to go but he had his coat nailed to the coffin and he thought it was the dead man that was pulling him back and was quite frightened 'til he saw that his coat ws nailed to the coffin. He went back to the public house and had the bet won.
