  1. I procured this story from the above who heard it from his mother.
    Well a long time ago lived a blacksmith named Billy Dawson and his wife Judy. Now Judy was continually talking about the badness of the times and finding fault with Billy. Every day the nagging went on until at last poor Billy was nearly out of his mind. Then, one morning Billy said to Judy "Well if you don't stop I'll sell myself to the devil" "Sell yourself away" said Judy "What do I care".
    Billy left down his hammer and tongs and walked down to the valley below.
    There he met Ould Nick.
    "Good morrow Nick" said Billy.
    "Good morrow kindly" said Nick.
    "Well Billy Dawson you called me. What do you want" said Ould Nick.
    "I want to sell myself to you for seven years for £500". said Billy.
    "Well said Ould Nick "I'll give you the £500
