Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Boher-a-Vorga - a townland between Callan and Mullinahone was so named because of laws passed in the reign of Henry VIII giving walled towns the right to levy customs on wares sold by travellers on the streets. To evade the customs pedlars usually sold their wares at some public road near the town which was a good centre for trade. This they did at Boher-a-Vorga. (Bóthar an Mhargaidh)

  2. ÁCH AN tSEARRACH is situated on the Callan Clonmel road. At this spot a foal was killed by a wolf. The mare seeing what had happened though spanselled jumped and brought her four feet down on the neck of the wold and killed it.
