  1. In Lismolin Castle, about three miles from where I live a crock of gold was buried.
About a hundred years ago a man went to look for the gold and after digging for some time he came upon a large slab under which the gold was supposed to be buried. Suddenly a big animal appeared to him and let three roars, and pitched the man right over the castle wall. His sight was seriously impaired by this fall and he promised that if he got back his sight he would never tell where the slab was hidden. After a time he recovered his sight but he never divulged the secret.
