- Three boy's lived in a house together. One day the three of them walked down to see a castle near Fethard called Ballydoyle Castle. On their way to the castle they met a flock of ducks. Two of them wanted to throw stones into the water and drown the ducks but the youngest would not let them. They went on further and they met a swarm of bees. The two older brothers again wanted to kill the bees and get the honey but the youngest brother would not let them. When they came near the Castle they found it locked. They saw a grey haired man who had in his hands a table of stone. On this table was written two tasks to be performed here. One of them was to fish up a key that locked the Castle door. It had been lost since the time of the Danes. The other task was to point out the maiden out of three maiden that had eaten honey. If the three boys were not able to get through them with credit they would be turned into masses of stone. The first boy went(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
