  1. Long ago it was said that some gold vessels were buried in a big box in the "Church Field". One night two men went to dig for the box. After digging down about three feet, they heard a noise like a little bell, and thinking they had the gold vessels, they began to dig twice as hard, but to their disappointment they found nothing only a big box of clay.
    I got this story from,
    Patrick Davis, (45)
    Killusty,
    Fethard,
    Co Tipp.
There is a field just a little below Killusty village, named the Church Field, it got this name, because the old Church was built there.
