- Petticoat Loose was a ghost that frequented the road from Cashel to Clonmel. She sometimes adopted the form of a woman of fabulous sine with a great flowing gown. Hence the name Petticoat Loose. At the other times she assumed the guise of monstrous animals. After night fall she was seen on the various roads in South and Mid Tipperary. Several people were terrified by her especially the farmers(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
