Ar an leathanach seo

  1. There are two forges in my parish. Jack Delaney is the owner of one of them and Jack Leahu the other owner. Jack Delaneys forge is situated at a cross-road and the townsland is Guralough. It is a very old forge. This mans brothers and father have worked in this forge for the past 60 or 70 years. Delaneys brother carries on the smith work too, his name is Billie. They mend a lot of farm implements, they gates also. He makes horse shoes and shoes horses and asses. he reddens the iron in the fire and while 'tis hot he turns it. Some of the names of the articles he uses are, an anvil, a pincers, a hammer, a tongs, a sledge, and the bellows. The bellows consist of a big handle attached on to a kind of a barrel. The bellows is
