  1. There is a stone in Joe Meara's hill called Delaney's stone - Here was a man named Delaney killed in that particular spot and buried there.
    The Idler's stone - This stone is on Mick Meora's Hill. This stone derived its name from a man called Ian Shanahan. He lived about a hundred yards below this stone. Every day after breakfast he would go up and sit on this stone until he would get hungry. He would come back then and get something to eat and then he would go again and sit on the stone.
