    Knocknakilla is considered another very airy spot. On the side of it is a large circle measuring probably 30 yards in diameter. There is no mound of any description yet the circle remains plainly visible. Some say it was a fort, others that it is the site of St. Cuimin’s Church after whom Kilcommon was called and from which the Hill took its name Cnoc na Cille. Now there really was a church there but on the other side of the hill. The place was in the parish of Upperchurch until 1805 and there was on this hill a chapel of Ease to Upperchurch. That may have been responsible for the name of the hill. The circle however remains untouched and whether through fear or otherwise it has never been matured, ploughed or in any way interfered with.
    Knocknabansha.
    It is said that there was a fort at Knocknabansha but I could see nothing but a few loose stones probably drift. However between Knocknabansha and Knocknakilla is portion of a fence which according to popular tradition can never be raised to the height of the surrounding fences. I have
