    In 1852 a certain family in Limerick dreamt of a crock of gold on a Mr. Going's land at Cragg. The people called on a man named Pat Ahern Cragg to help them to dig for the crock of gold. As they were digging a cat appeared to them. They ran away and got no gold. One day a little boy was gathering sticks under Cragg castle. He saw a crock of gold under a tree and marked the tree by putting a rope around and went home to tell his people about it. When he returned every tree in the wood was marked but there was no crock of gold to be seen.
