Dan Ryan (Cooper) of Kiloscully village & who only died in May 1934 was a great step dancer also. Other noted dancers were Pat Ryan Fiddane and an uncle of mine Pat Ryan (Malachy) Glenculloo. Those three were noted for their step-dancing at the local weddings and dances - the dances includes "A Priest in his Boots", "The Orange Robe" &c. - In these old days all mowing was done by scythes & there were men who were renowned for their skill in the use of the scythe.
