  1. In old times the people used to earn their living by fishing they used to go out and fish early in the morning till late in the evening. They used to catch many fish every day and sell it. A whole crowd of them used to go out together.
In the night they used to have candles for light and when the time would come for picking the potatoes a crowd of men would pick them in a basket.
    Old Marriages
In old times the people used to get married on special days and special months because they heard Monday for health, Tuesday for wealth, Wednesday the best day of all, Thursday for losses, Friday for crosses and Saturday no luck at all, and they used to think it was unlucky to get married in the month of May and December. Many of them used to get married during Shrove.
