    Clothes made Locally
    There are two tailors in this district. They do not travel from house to house, but one of them goes to Birr to work. The tailors do not stock cloth. Coth is not spun or woven locally.
    The tailors use a sewing machine, scissors, iron, ironing board, thimble, needle and thread. Shirts are not made in this district, but they were in former times, most women knit the men's socks at home.
    There are no spinning wheels in this district, but there were a good may formerly.
    There are special kinds of clothes worn on certain occasions such as, at the death of a relative black is worn and at a wedding fancy dresses are worn.
