    farm. If the man, or farm displeases the parents the boy and girl will not get married. But, if the girl refuses to marry a suitable man with a good farm, and a good house, her parents will force her to marry him.
    A certain day is arranged when the boy with some friends goes to see the girl. They usually have a bit of a party and a dance. Then if the boy considers the girl suitable, a day is arranged for the wedding. The parish priest is then acquainted. After this the ring is bought and anything else they need for the occasion.
    As a rule they are married in the bride's parish, but by special permission they can be married wherever they wish. Afterwards they generally go to some town or city for a week or two on their honeymoon.
