    The day fell on Sunday so we went to first mass. We dressed at Humphreys, but we didn't do much of Cappamore for the people were at second mass. We had four bicycles so we were not long going around. We did Murroe, Abington and Boher, and we came home by Eyon. It was about five o'clock when we arrived home, but we were not very tired.
    We had so much arguing over the dividing of the money that Mrs Humphreys had to divide it for us.
    We had four shillings and four pence each and it was the most that any wren boys had that day.
