A long time ago there lived a man and every night when he used to go to bed a big, heavy hand was layed on his breast. One night he made up his mind to take to bed with him a bottle of whiskey and a revolver. He said that if the hand was not taken off his breast while he was taking three mouthfuls of whiskey he would shoot it off. All went well until about twelve o'clock that night when the hand was laid upon him. He took the three mouthfuls of whiskey but the hand did not move. He then took the revolver and pulled the trigger but he only shot three toes off himself.
